Mother Teresa Born and Brought up:

Mother Teresa was born on 26th August 1910 Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in Yugoslavia in Skopje. Mother Teresa was the Albanian Roman Catholic nun and has the Indian Citizenship as Mother Teresa founded Missionaries of the Charity in the Indian state West Bengal in the year 1950. for near about 40 years Mother Teresa ministered to orphaned, poor, dying and sick, whereas the Missionaries of the Charity’s development, first all through the country India and later on in the other countries of the world.

Mother Teresa Achievements

By year 1970 Mother Teresa became the worldwide famed as the advocate and the humanitarian for the helpless and poor, due in fraction to book and documentary, Something Beautiful for God which was written by the Malcolm Muggeridge.

Mother Teresa won Nobel Peace Prize in the year 1979 and also in the year 1980 Mother Teresa won the highest civilian award of the country India, Bharat Ratna for the humanitarian work. The Missionaries of the Charity of the Mother Teresa sustained to expand and during her death time the Missionaries of the Charity was operating near about 610 missions in approximately 123 countries in the entire globe consisting of the homes and the hospices for inhabitants with the leprosy, soup kitchens, HIV/AIDS, schools, orphanages, programs of family counseling and tuberculosis.....More

Barclays Premier League

Barclays Bank sponsors the most popular of the English Football Leagues – The Premier League. Thus, it is officially known as the “Barclays Premier League”. The League is a conglomerate that has 20 professional football clubs as members. The Premier League operates by a system of promoting and demoting with the Football League.

The competition came into being in 1992. It comprised of the 22 clubs in the First division of the Football League that broke away to form an elite league. In 1995, this number was reduced to 20 on insistence by FIFA.

Earlier, with different sponsors, the League was named differently. Barclays Bank sponsors the League since 2004; and will continue to do till 2010.

Roles and objectives in Barclays Premier League

Premier League

In 1992, Premier league started working on its own as limited company in Lancaster Gate as headquarters from out of office of football association’s. The premier league corporation has 20 member clubs as shareholders. Each shareholder has one vote on issues such as rule changes and contracts, through which the chairman, chief executives and board of members are selected for management of premier league. The football association has its superpower as a special shareholder to vote and elect management members and to adopt new rules. The contest among the clubs is by means of promotion and relegation. Season’s kicks-off from August to May, with each team playing 38 games.

It has been ranked first for past five years due to its appreciable performance among other European competitors. Rules of Premier League

Among 20 clubs of the premier league each club has to play others twice, once in their home stadium and once at their contestant stadium to make a total of 38 games.

The 2008 Summer Olympics will be hosted by Beijing, China. The Beijing Olympics 2008 will be held from August 8 to August 24, 2008. Most 2008 Summer Olympics events and the opening ceremony for Beijing Olympics 2008 will take place at the Beijing National Stadium. The opening ceremony for Beijing Olympics 2008 will begin at 08.08.08 pm CST. Some Beijing Olympics 2008 events will be held at other cities in Mainland China and Hong-Kong.

About 2008 Beijing Olympics

Beijing was declared the official host of the 2008 Summer Olympics Games on July 13, 2001. “Dancing Beijing” is the official logo of the Beijing Olympics 2008 games. Five “Fuwa” or “good luck dolls”, each one representing one color of the Olympic rings, are the mascots of 2008 Beijing Olympics. The five Fuwa also represent the five elements in Chinese mythology- earth, fire, wood, water and metal. They symbolize the fish, giant panda, Tibetan antelope, swallow and fire. The official slogan for 2008 Beijing Olympics is “One World, One Dream”. There will be 302 events in all at Beijing Olympics 2008. A total of 28 sports have been included in the games for Beijing Olympics 2008. Many new National Olympic Committees have also gained recognition by the IOC this year. The government has adopted measures to step up the equality of security services at Beijing Olympics 2008.
